Airy Mount Bed & Breakfast
Circa 1884

In the center of the Bluebonnet State of Texas lies the jewel of this place called the Hill Country. Rolling Hills surround this delightful and romantic sight as you drive into the quaint, yet busy town of Burnet. Two beautiful stone buildings can be seen for miles while driving on Highway 29.

There's no denying the feeling of grandeur of this old home and barn with carriage house which was built over 100 years ago. Both the Main House and the Carriage House have 2 stories and are made of the whitest limestone. The stone was dug out of the ground and chiseled into square blocks and it took 10 years to complete both houses.

... when you see the two stone buildings on the horizon coming into the thriving, quaint town of Burnet, Texas.

Maybe it's the timeless and majestic beauty of two lone buildings in a one-of-a-kind pastoral setting. Maybe it's wild stories of Cowboys and Indians who played, danced, and fought with each other that makes this place so special. Maybe it's just the name:

Built in 1884, this established Texas Landmark has its numbered and accredited Gold Medallion. It is the gateway to the City of Burnet and considered the "gem of all B&B's" in a 5-county area.

The Bed and Breakfast was established in 1992 by Rosanne and Charlie Hayman from Dallas. They brought recipes from Idaho, California, Santa Fe, and France to mix and mingle a fabulous blend of breakfast treats.

Some favorites are Homemade Strawberry Jam on Homemade Bread, Pecan Praline French Toast, Angel Biscuits with Whipped Honey Butter, Fresh Homemade Cinnamon Rolls, and Cowboy Sausage and Egg Pie.

The antique maple furniture are turn-of-the-century classics. The room is sometimes lovingly called the "John Wayne Room" because of the saddle, cow-hide rug, and manly king-size bed that decorates the room throughout. The private bath is unique and large with a king-size ball and claw tub, plus shower. Authentic original oil paintings or Indians and Cowboys complete the suite.  Daybed for a 3rd person is in this room.
